“The First Night with the Duke” is a fantasy romance drama about an ordinary college student whose soul is transported into a minor character in a romance novel, Cha Sun Chaek (Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun). After waking up in the world of the novel, she ends up spending the night with the obsessive male lead, Yi Beon (2PM’s Taecyeon).

Cha Sun Chaek was originally a background character with little to no presence. But everything changes when the soul of an avid reader—a real-life college student known as K—is suddenly transported into her body. From that moment on, she becomes deeply entangled with the novel’s male lead, Yi Beon. Captivated by the woman who took his first night, Yi Beon falls head over heels and charges forward in a romance that completely derails the original plot.
