Watch: Taecyeon’s Pursuit Of Seohyun Heats Up After Their First Night In New Teaser For “The First Night With The Duke”

KBS2’s upcoming drama “The First Night With the Duke” has released a new teaser!

“The First Night with the Duke” is a fantasy romance drama about an ordinary college student whose soul is transported into a minor character in a romance novel, Cha Sun Chaek (Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun). After waking up in the world of the novel, she ends up spending the night with the obsessive male lead, Yi Beon (2PM’s Taecyeon).

The teaser offers a lighthearted look at the story through Cha Sun Chaek’s eyes. After a drunken night leads to an unexpected encounter with Yi Beon, Cha Sun Chaek’s quiet life is thrown into chaos. Things take a wild turn when Yi Beon suddenly announces, “I intend to marry Cha Sun Chaek,” pulling her from the background into the center of the story as a surprising spark of romance begins to grow.

When Yi Beon says, “We spent the first night together, so of course we should take responsibility for each other,” something starts to shift in Cha Sun Chaek’s heart. Though she tries to keep her distance, insisting she’s just a minor character, Yi Beon’s sincere words—“You didn’t choose me. I chose you”—slowly start to break down her walls.

The story’s unexpected twists, made possible by its fantasy setting, keep viewers hooked. Jo Eun Ae (Kwon Han Sol), the classic sweet and delicate lead, shocks everyone by boldly cornering second male lead Jung Soo Gyeom (Seo Bum June). Soon after, Soo Gyeom confesses to Cha Sun Chaek, saying, “I like you.” Adding even more drama, villainess Do Hwa Seon (Chi Hae Won) is seen casually walking into Yi Beon’s bedroom, raising the stakes and unpredictability.

“The First Night with the Duke” premieres on June 11 at 9:50 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
