4 Times Episode 6 Of 'Spring Of Youth' Shocked Us

Spring of Youth” has been raising the stakes since the beginning. However, episode 6 might be the most jaw-dropping one yet. With the finale slowly approaching, the plot keeps getting thicker, packed with shocking revelations and emotional twists. Last week’s episode delivered not just betrayals and heartbreaks but also a glimmer of hope for long-overdue justice.

From Tae Yang (Lee Seung Hyub) unexpectedly joining The Crown to Sa Gye (Ha Yoo Joon) getting one step closer to exposing the CEO (Jo Han Chul) and Tae Yang’s father (Kim Jong Tae), here are four moments from “Spring of Youth” episode 6 that shocked us.

Warning: spoilers ahead!

Tae Yang joins The Crown

One of the most anticipated questions in recent episodes was whether Tae Yang would join The Crown, Sa Gye’s former band, and potentially replace him as leader. Fans hoped the morally upright second male lead would not cross that line, and he didn’t. Despite his complicated feelings toward Sa Gye, Tae Yang initially refuses the offer, showing integrity and loyalty to what being in a group should represent.

Even after Sa Gye quits TWO SAGYE, Tae Yang does not rush to retaliate or seek revenge. However, when Kim Bom (Park Ji Hu) cuts ties with him due to his father’s manipulation, everything changes. With his heart shattered and nothing left to hold onto, Tae Yang finally considers the offer. His father further fuels the decision by revealing that Tae Yang was the company’s original choice for The Crown years ago.

Feeling like he has nothing to lose and hearing that he is not replacing Sa Gye but reclaiming a spot that was once his, Tae Yang finally says yes.

Ji Na’s backlog complicates Kim Bom’s plagiarism case

Viewers have known that Ji Na (Han Yu Eun), the CEO’s daughter, stole Kim Bom’s song. And while the track has already been released, many believed Kim Bom still had a strong chance of proving plagiarism. After all, songwriting is not just about the final product. It is about the process. From lyrics to melody to revisions, every artist has a backlog that shows their creative journey. Kim Bom did too in her diary, where she wrote the entire song including lyrics and composition notes.

However, when Kim Bom confronts Ji Na, confident that the diary will be her proof, Ji Na drops a bombshell of her own. She pulls out a similar journal, a fabricated backlog that makes it appear as though she also developed the song herself. Despite knowing Ji Na stole the song, Kim Bom now faces an uphill battle.

Kim Bom consults a lawyer to file a plagiarism case, but the odds are not in her favor. The lawyer points out that Ji Na altered the original song, transforming Kim Bom’s melancholic ballad into an upbeat track to match The Crown’s image. With the tone and arrangement significantly changed, proving ownership will not be easy.

Money silences truth

After discovering that Kim Bom’s song was stolen and used by The Crown, Sa Gye tries to help her expose the truth. Although Kim Bom initially refuses, still hurt by his past abandonment, she later accepts his help. Soon, Sa Gye takes matters into his own hands and attempts to post the truth online.

However, every time he uploads a post revealing the plagiarism, it is quickly deleted. This frustrating moment drives home a harsh reality: those with money and power can control not just people but speech itself. Despite being anonymous, Sa Gye’s posts never see the light of day.

While it is a scenario that mirrors real life, watching it unfold still feels jarring. In an age where social media feels like the last refuge of truth, “Spring of Youth” reminds us how fragile that freedom really is.

The SUV that killed Kim Bom’s mother might still be out there

Kim Bom’s mother was killed in a hit-and-run involving Jo and Jo Entertainment’s CEO and Tae Yang’s father. Drunk and reckless, the two men covered up the crime, but Sa Gye has been quietly investigating, determined to bring them to justice.

One crucial piece of evidence has always been missing: the SUV used in the accident. Sa Gye had no idea if the vehicle even still existed or whether the CEO had hidden or destroyed it. But in the latest episode, we finally get confirmation that the SUV might still be traceable. While the vehicle itself may have been erased, there is now hope. A video and possibly some written records exist that could prove its involvement and bring the truth to light.

It is frustrating to see misunderstandings continue to tear Tae Yang apart from TWO SAGYE, especially when all five still care deeply for one another. With the finale approaching, fans can only hope there’s still time for reconciliation and the truth to heal what’s been broken.
