4 Points To Look Forward To In Upcoming Drama “Salon De Holmes”

With its premiere just around the corner, ENA’s upcoming drama “Salon de Holmes” has shared four points to look forward to!

“Salon de Holmes” is a new comedy-action drama about four women—a sharp-witted sleuth, a former ace detective, an insurance queen, and a part-time job expert—who live in the same apartment complex. Together, they team up to take down the troublemakers plaguing their community.

Here are four key points to watch out for:

1. The cast’s strong synergy

Lee Si Young, Jung Young Joo, Dasom, and Nam Ki Ae return to the screen in roles tailored to showcase their individual strengths. Lee Si Young, known for her powerful roles in dramas like “Sweet Home” and “Grid,” plays master detective Gong Mi Ri, who solves cases with sharp intuition and keen deduction. Her return to comedy is another major highlight fans are looking forward to.

Jung Young Joo, a veteran of the musical theater scene who brought fierce charisma to “A Virtuous Business” and “Lovely Runner,” takes on the role of Chu Kyung Ja, a former ace detective famously dubbed the “female Ma Dong Seok.” Her performance will feature high-impact action scenes that match her character’s bold reputation.

Dasom revealed she began motorcycle training two months prior to filming in preparation for her role as Park So Hee, the “part-time job queen” who zips around the neighborhood on her bike.

Nam Ki Ae, known for her versatile performances in titles such as “My Dearest” and “King the Land,” transforms into Jeon Ji Hyun, a savvy and well-connected character. This role marks a refreshing shift from her typically graceful and composed on-screen image.

2. A satisfying dose of justice—from everyday nuisances to chilling villains

The four women deliver justice as they take down villains who disrupt everyday life. From the parking villain who blatantly ignores marked spaces to the recycling villain who refuses to sort waste and inconveniences the entire neighborhood and to the noise villain who stomps around at night and keeps everyone awake, these all too familiar offenders will face the sharp response of the apartment problem solvers.

Viewers will cheer for this dynamic team as they serve up fast and satisfying payback. The series also raises the stakes with the arrival of more sinister and ruthless villains, building tension with their dark and unsettling presence.

3. Star-packed supporting cast and cameos

Comedy veterans Oh Dae Hwan, Jung Sang Hoon, and Lee Soo Ji, widely regarded as some of South Korea’s top comedic talents, team up to deliver standout performances and strong on-screen chemistry.

They’re joined by comedian Kim Joon Hyun and Kim Geum Soon from “When Life Gives You Tangerines” as well as special appearances by the cast of the “New Recruit” series, including Kim Min Ho, Kim Hyun Kyu, Lee Sang Jin, Lee Chung Goo, and Kim Hee Soo, all known for their strong rapport with director Min Jin Ki.

Adding even more excitement, several other well-known actors will make surprise cameo appearances, enhancing both the entertainment value and immersion of the series.

4. Director Min Jin Ki of hit series “New Recruit”

“Salon de Holmes” marks the first female-led drama from director Min Jin Ki, best known for helming ENA’s hit series “New Recruit.”

Min Jin Ki’s signature blend of lighthearted comedy and sharp character work is expected to shine once again. His talent for weaving in suspenseful, thriller-style elements promises to bring an added layer of excitement to the show.

“Salon de Holmes” premieres June 16 at 10 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!
