Seoul High Court Denies NewJeans' Appeal Of Injunction Decision

The Seoul High Court has denied the NewJeans members’ appeal and upheld the original decision barring them from engaging in independent activities.

Back in March, the Seoul Central District Court granted ADOR’s request for an injunction prohibiting the NewJeans members from carrying out independent entertainment activities, such as signing advertisement contracts without ADOR’s knowledge or approval.

At the time, the NewJeans members appealed the ruling through a formal objection, but in April, the Seoul Central District Court denied their objection and reaffirmed the validity of the injunction. The NewJeans members then immediately appealed the injunction decision to the Seoul High Court.

However, on June 17, the Seoul High Court ultimately rejected the appeal, upholding the initial decision prohibiting the NewJeans members from carrying out independent activities without ADOR’s involvement.
