Mun Ka Young has shared insight into her “Law and The City” character!
“Law and The City” follows five associate attorneys—Ahn Ju Hyeong (Lee Jong Suk), Kang Hui Ji (Mun Ka Young), Cho Chang Won (Kang You Seok), Bae Mun Jeong (Ryu Hye Young), and Ha Sang Gi (Im Seong Jae)—as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their daily lives. These salaried lawyers, employed by law firms, commute each day to the bustling legal district of Seocho.
Mun Ka Young recalled her first impression of the character, saying, “I found [Kang Hui Ji] lovable and courageous because she’s quick to admit things and knows how to remain cool-headed.”
She added a cute introduction, saying, “She’s like danmuji (pickled radish)—tangy and sweet, connecting all the different foods together.” This likens Kang Hui Ji’s ability to maintain harmonious relationships not only with the associate lawyers but also with the managing partner, the building owner, and clients, to the role of danmuji.
Mun Ka Young recommended watching “Law and The City” while enjoying delicious food. She said, “I hope viewers will enjoy the drama while eating something tasty, just like sharing a meal with a friend you feel comfortable around.”
