tvN’s “Law and The City” has shared a more in-depth look at Kang You Seok’s character!
“Law and The City” follows five associate attorneys—Ahn Ju Hyeong (Lee Jong Suk), Kang Hui Ji (Mun Ka Young), Cho Chang Won (Kang You Seok), Bae Mun Jeong (Ryu Hye Young), and Ha Sang Gi (Im Seong Jae)—as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of their daily lives. These salaried lawyers, employed by law firms, commute each day to the bustling legal district of Seocho.
Kang You Seok shared, “It’s a warm and everyday kind of drama. The script is so charming, and after talking with the director, I thought, ‘I really want to work with this person,’ and I wanted to act alongside the other cast members.”
Regarding his first impression of his character Cho Chang Won, Kang You seok shared, “He is a character that talks a lot amongst the five attorneys, and he lightens up the atmosphere,” using key phrases such as “mood maker” and “talks too much” to describe his character. The actor continued, “Among the five, he is the brightest and sweetest person, so he can be described as a dessert when compared to food.”
Kang You Seok explained that he tried to raise his tone of voice and talk faster to portray his talkative character. He added, “Since my character is older than I actually am, I tried to pay attention to the styling to appear more mature.”
Finally, the actor picked “the chemistry between the five associate lawyers” as the biggest point to anticipate. He explained, “This will be a drama in which [viewers will be curious] to see what the five will gather to eat and what stories they will share. Please show lots of love.”
“Law and The City” will premiere on July 5 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
