BTS's j-hope Enters Top 40 Of Billboard Hot 100 For 1st Time With 'Killin' It Girl'

BTS’s j-hope has officially become the K-pop soloist with the most entries on Billboard’s Hot 100!

On June 24, Billboard revealed that j-hope had broken into the top 40 of the Hot 100 (its weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States) for the first time as a soloist. His new single “Killin’ It Girl” (featuring GloRilla) debuted at No. 40 this week, making it his highest-charting solo song yet.

Not only does the entry mark j-hope’s highest solo ranking to date on the Hot 100, but it also marks a new K-pop record. With eight solo entries under his belt, j-hope has now overtaken his bandmate Jungkook to set a new record for the most Hot 100 entries of any K-pop soloist.

“Killin’ It Girl” also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart this week, meaning it was the best-selling song of the week in the United States.

Over on the global charts, “Killin’ It Girl” debuted at No. 2 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 3 on the Global 200, while j-hope’s previous single “MONA LISA” re-entered the Global Excl. U.S. chart at No. 150.

Meanwhile, j-hope re-entered Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 52, marking his 16th overall week on the chart as a soloist.

Congratulations to j-hope!
