Taecyeon Runs Into Chi Hae Won In The Palace In “The First Night With The Duke”
KBS2’s “The First Night with the Duke” has shared new stills from the upcoming episode!
“The First Night with the Duke” is a fantasy romance drama about an ordinary college student whose soul is transported into a minor character in a romance novel, Cha Sun Chaek (Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun). After waking up in the world of the novel, she ends up spending the night with the obsessive male lead, Yi Beon (2PM’s Taecyeon).

Previously in “The First Night with the Duke,” Prince Yi Beon declared that he would marry Cha Sun Chaek. However, the royal family suddenly began pushing for his marriage through a formal selection process, and as the maidens of noble families gathered one by one, the marriage proceeded in a direction contrary to his wishes.
This turn of events is part of the scheme of the villainess Do Hwa Seon (Chi Hae Won), who has been in cahoots with the Queen Dowager. In the original novel, she repeatedly tormented the female lead Jo Eun Ae (Kwon Han Sol) with her evil deeds.
The newly released stills capture the tense atmosphere between Prince Yi Beon and Do Hwa Seon as they come face to face. Do Hwa Seon draws attention with her splendid attire and shy smile, while Yi Beon gazes at her with an inscrutable expression. The strange atmosphere between them makes it impossible to discern their true feelings.
Viewers are curious about what the villainess Do Hwa Seon—who would stop at nothing to have Prince Yi Beon—will say to him now that she has met him face to face. They are also eager to see how Yi Beon will react to Do Hwa Seon, who is a strong candidate to become his wife through the royal selection process. It remains to be seen whether Yi Beon will end up surrendering to Do Hwa Seon’s schemes.
