Seo Bum June Bursts Into Tears As He Grabs Taecyeon By The Collar In “The First Night With The Duke”
Unexpected friction brews between Taecyeon and his only friend Seo Bum June in tonight’s episode of KBS2’s “The First Night with the Duke”!
“The First Night with the Duke” is a fantasy romance drama about an ordinary college student whose soul is transported into a minor character in a romance novel, Cha Sun Chaek (Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun). After waking up in the world of the novel, she ends up spending the night with the obsessive male lead, Yi Beon (2PM’s Taecyeon).

Jung Soo Gyeom (Seo Bum June) is Yi Beon’s one and only friend. Despite Yi Beon’s reputation as a cold and ruthless tyrant, Jung Soo Gyeom is the only person he has ever let close. While everyone is scared of Yi Beon, Jung Soo Gyeom calls him by affectionate nicknames and shares a witty, easygoing rapport with him that shows off their bromance chemistry.
However, things began to change when Jung Soo Gyeom’s crush, the novel’s original female lead Jo Eun Ae (Kwon Han Sol), entered the royal selection to become Yi Beon’s bride. While the novel’s story originally revolved around a love triangle between Jo Eun Ae, Yi Beon, and Jung Soo Gyeom, things took an unexpected turn when Yi Beon’s feelings shifted toward the once-minor character Cha Sun Chaek. With the triangle seemingly dissolved, questions now arise over what new conflict could have driven a wedge between the two best friends.
The newly released stills hint at the brewing storm. In a rare break from his usual composure, Jung Soo Gyeom grabs Yi Beon by the collar. His flushed cheeks and tear-streaked face suggest he’s been drinking—but behind the haze, his eyes brim with heartbreak and betrayal.
