ASTRO's Sanha And OH MY GIRL's Arin's New Drama "My Girlfriend Is The Man!" Announces Premiere Date With Poster
KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “My Girlfriend Is the Man!” has kicked off the countdown to its premiere!
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “My Girlfriend Is the Man!” is a romantic comedy about a college student whose girlfriend unexpectedly transforms into a man.
ASTRO’s Sanha will star as Park Yoon Jae, an astronomy student who is head over heels for his girlfriend Kim Ji Eun (played by OH MY GIRL’s Arin). Due to a gene that runs in her family, Kim Ji Eun suddenly turns into a handsome man (played by Yoo Jung Hoo) and begins going by the name Kim Ji Hoon. Chuu will play the role of Kang Min Joo, a popular student who develops a crush on Kim Ji Hoon.
On June 27, KBS officially announced that “My Girlfriend Is the Man!” would premiere on July 23 at 9:50 p.m. KST, taking over the time slot currently occupied by Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun and 2PM’s Taecyeon’s drama “The First Night with the Duke.”
The drama also released its first main poster, which playfully introduces its three leads and the unusual situation in which Park Yoon Jae finds himself. As his girlfriend hugs him from both sides in her two forms—her original female form and her new male one—Park Yoon Jae is frozen in shock.
