Watch: Jung Chaeyeon Is Challenged By Perfectionist Boss Lee Jin Uk In New Teaser For "Beyond The Bar"
JTBC’s upcoming drama “Beyond the Bar” has revealed its premiere date and first teaser video!
“Beyond the Bar” is a drama that explores the lives of lawyers, inspired by real-life cases. Lee Jin Uk plays Yoon Seok Hoon, a cold but undeniably skilled elite lawyer, while Jung Chaeyeon takes on the role of Kang Hyo Min, an upstanding and confident yet socially awkward rookie attorney.
The newly released video opens with Yoon Seok Hoon, a law firm partner and the head of the firm’s litigation team. Known for his logical and aggressive courtroom tactics, he has earned the respect of colleagues but is also infamously aloof, strictly avoiding small talk or personal interactions.
The caption in the teaser hints at Seok Hoon’s perfectionist nature by reading, “Joined a firm and my boss is on another level.” He is always punctual, never makes a mistake, and holds junior lawyers to high standards. His no-nonsense, principle-driven personality is highlighted when he remarks sharply, “Is saying ‘I’m sorry’ some kind of trend among the newbies these days?”
The production team commented, “‘Beyond the Bar’ aims to portray the emotional healing and recovery of people carrying hidden wounds as they find resolution through the legal process. The lawyers representing these clients will also confront their own scars and mature along the way.”
