Park Shin Hye, Go Kyung Pyo, And More Confirmed For New Office Comedy Drama

It’s official—Park Shin Hye, Go Kyung Pyo, Ha Yun Kyung, and Cho Han Gyeol will be starring in tvN’s new drama “Miss Undercover Boss” (working title)!

“Miss Undercover Boss” is an office comedy drama set in the late 1990s during the turbulent IMF crisis. The story follows 35-year-old elite financial supervisory officer Hong Geum Bo, who only knows work. Using her young appearance, she goes undercover as a 20-year-old high school graduate employee at a securities firm to investigate suspicious financial activities, leading to a series of comedic events.

Park Shin Hye was offered to play the role of Hong Geum Bo, an elite financial supervisory officer who, overnight, goes undercover as a high school graduate employee tasked with menial office work at a securities firm. She will showcase a dramatic transformation, portraying both a cold and focused career woman and a fresh-faced office rookie, delivering laughs through the chaos that unfolds in Yeouido’s financial district. Having recently captivated audiences through “The Judge From Hell,” viewers are excited to see what performance she will deliver next.

Go Kyung Pyo will play Shin Jung Woo, the newly appointed CEO of Hanmin Securities, a natural-born management consultant and corporate raider who believes only numbers tell the truth. A man who stops at nothing to achieve his goals, he becomes entangled in a complex relationship when he meets Hong Jang Mi who bears the face of his former love Hong Geum Bo. Known for his steady presence in “Frankly Speaking” and “Love in Contract,” Go Kyung Pyo is set to impress once again in the upcoming drama.

Ha Yun Kyung will take on the role of Go Bok Hee, the secretary to the president of Hanmin Securities and the senior resident of Dorm Room 301, where Geum Bo stays while working undercover. Bok Hee is a colorful character who boldly wears flashy outfits in the drab world of Yeouido and survives the cutthroat world of the secretary’s office using her own winning strategies. Following her successful roles in “See You in My 19th Life” and “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” viewers are already anticipating her next transformation.

Cho Han Gyeol will portray Albert Oh, a cinephile and the grandson of Hanmin Securities’ chairman. Though uninterested in corporate management, he stirs up chaos wherever he goes. From his very first meeting with the rookie employee Geum Bo, he finds himself unexpectedly inspired. Having recently captivated in “The Haunted Palace,” viewers are looking forward to his next drama.

In addition to the star-studded lineup, director Park Sun Ho of “Suspicious Partner,” “Wok of Love,” “A Business Proposal,” and “Brewing Love” and scriptwriter Moon Hyun Kyung of “Into the Ring” will be teaming up for this upcoming drama.

The production team shared, “We are very pleased to be working with such trusted actors as Park Shin Hye, Go Kyung Pyo, Han Yun Kyung, and Cho Han Gyeol. Please look forward to ‘Miss Undercover Boss,’ which will sneak into viewers’ hearts with its cheerful and refreshing story that resonates with both the chaos of the late 20th century and the realities of today”
