“Love, Take Two” Stars Yum Jung Ah, Choi Yoon Ji, Park Hae Joon, And Kim Min Kyu Reflect On Their Parent-Child Chemistry

tvN’s upcoming drama “Love, Take Two” has released new stills showcasing its two central families.

“Love, Take Two” is a heartwarming comedy drama about a mismatched duo: a 43-year-old single mother and her 23-year-old medical student daughter. The pair moves to the countryside to start a new chapter in their lives, encountering various people and chaotic situations that teach them profound lessons about life.

The newly revealed photos highlight the mother-daughter pair Lee Ji An (Yum Jung Ah) and Lee Hyo Ri (Choi Yoon Ji), along with the father-son duo Ryu Jung Seok (Park Hae Joon) and Ryu Bo Hyun (Kim Min Kyu).

In the first still, Lee Ji An and her daughter Lee Hyo Ri sit side by side without making eye contact, their awkward silence and physical distance hinting at the tension between them. As Hyo Ri’s belated rebellion and impulsive choices spiral out of control, Ji An is left helpless, her heart aching with worry. Viewers are eager to see how this mother-daughter relationship navigates the fine line between love and resentment.

Meanwhile, another photo captures Ryu Jung Seok and Ryu Bo Hyun, whose expressions reflect both their differences and their undeniable resemblance. Having left the chaos of city life, they now live quietly in a village—Jung Seok as an architect and Bo Hyun as a flower farm owner. However, their peaceful days are disrupted by unexpected visitors.

Yum Jung Ah shared her impressions of Choi Yoon Ji, saying, “My first impression of her was that she was very pure and pretty. I could also see how sincerely she approached this project. Though she doesn’t have a lot of experience yet, I admire how she tries to fill those gaps with effort. I’m confident she’ll receive more and more love as an actress in the future.”

Choi Yoon Ji expressed her gratitude in return, saying, “Acting alongside Yum Jung Ah is an unbelievable blessing. She was always so warm and made me feel comfortable, to the point where it felt like we were really mother and daughter. ‘Love, Take Two’ and the time I spent working with her will remain a precious experience in my life as an actress.”

Park Hae Joon also shared his thoughts on Kim Min Kyu, saying, “He’s warm, innocent, and adorable, someone who fits perfectly with ‘Love, Take Two.’ In that sense, he really resembles his character Ryu Bo Hyun. Through this project, we’ve become very comfortable with each other.”

Kim Min Kyu added, “It was such a joy to work with a senior actor I truly admire. During an out-of-town shoot, I once asked him for advice, and he invited me to his room to go over the script together and shared so many valuable insights. I’ll never forget that.”

“Love, Take Two” will premiere on August 4 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
