Hwang Jung Min plays police officer Beom Seok, the head of the Hopo Port branch office. Zo In Sung takes on the role of Sung Ki, a young hunter who ventures into the mountains to track down the creature that attacked the village. Jung Ho Yeon stars as Sung Ae, a police officer with clear and unwavering principles.
Joining them are Michael Fassbender—known for his performances in works like the “X-Men” series, “12 Years a Slave,” and “Alien: Covenant”—and Alicia Vikander, who has demonstrated her versatility across genres, from her Oscar-winning role in “The Danish Girl” to “Jason Bourne” and “Tomb Raider.”
The lineup is further strengthened by Taylor Russell, who won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at the Venice International Film Festival for “Bones and All,” and Cameron Britton, who left a strong impression as a notorious serial killer in the Netflix series “Mindhunter.”
Director Na Hong Jin expressed his thoughts, saying, “I am deeply grateful to the actors who accepted the offer and gave such passionate performances. They expressed every element this film aims to convey with incredible talent and focus. I feel this every time, but their combination is truly extraordinary.”
