Lee Jang Woo And On Ju Wan Deny Involvement In Online Rumors
Lee Jang Woo and On Ju Wan have firmly denied being involved in recent online rumors.
Recently, a post was uploaded to the anonymous workplace community Blind, accusing a celebrity ex-boyfriend of possibly two-timing and claiming that his agency sent 8 million won (approximately $5,800) as hush money.
The poster wrote, “The agency said that my ex-boyfriend would be appearing on a variety show within the next six months to share his wedding preparations with his new girlfriend, but the timeline might not line up. They offered 8 million won in advance as ‘consolation money.’ It was either a rebound or he cheated on me.”
The post ended with the user expressing heartbreak and asking for advice on whether to return the money. However, as the post spread, netizens fixated on the clue that the ex was “someone people in their 30s or older would recognize by name.” Speculation intensified when commenters floated the initials ‘ㅇㅈㅇ,’ leading to baseless rumors targeting male celebrities with upcoming weddings—including Lee Jang Woo and On Ju Wan.
Both actors quickly denied the rumors.
Lee Jang Woo wrote on his Instagram Story, “I’m not ㅇㅈㅇ. Please stop calling me. I’m working.” On Ju Wan’s agency HAEWADAL Entertainment also stated, “He has no connection to these rumors. They are completely false.”
As the speculation spiraled, the original poster returned on July 30 to post a follow-up statement.
They wrote, “I’m writing this out of frustration after seeing unrelated celebrities being accused because of my post. First and foremost, I sincerely apologize to anyone who has been unfairly suspected or inconvenienced by this—especially during what should be a celebratory time for them.”
The user clarified, “The mentioned individuals have nothing to do with this. I never once mentioned the initials ‘ㅇㅈㅇ’ nor did I say the person was an actor, but my post was spread to other communities, distorted, and turned into a guessing game.”
They added, “I had no intention of pointing fingers. What started as a search for a solution has now become an invasion of privacy, and I’m honestly at a loss.”
The original poster concluded, “In any case, those individuals being mentioned have no connection to this matter. I truly hope there will be no further misunderstandings or speculation. I met with the person involved yesterday and have resolved everything. I received a sincere apology and now just want to move on and heal.”
Lee Jang Woo is set to marry actress Jo Hye Won this year, while On Ju Wan is preparing to tie the knot with Girl’s Day’s Bang Minah in November.
