
Kim Nam Gil In Talks To Star In New Historical Film
Kim Nam Gil may be starring in the historical film “Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land” (literal title)!
On July 24, a media outlet reported that Kim Nam Gil will star in the film “Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land” as Prince Suyang.
On July 30, a representative from Kim Nam Gil’s agency stated, “The film ‘Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land’ is one of the projects he is currently considering.”
“Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land” is based on a landscape painting by Joseon-era painter An Gyeon, which was inspired by the dream of Prince Anpyeong. The film will focus on the story of Prince Suyang and Prince Anpyeong, shedding new light on the Coup of Gye Yu. It will be directed by Jang Hoon, known for films such as “Rough Cut”, “Secret Reunion”, “The Front Line”, and “A Taxi Driver.”
Kim Nam Gil made his acting debut in 1999 with the drama “School.” He has since starred in numerous projects including the dramas “Be Strong Geum Soon!” “My Lovely Sam Soon,” “The Great Queen Seondeok,” “Through the Darkness,” and “The Fiery Priest” as well as films like “Public Enemy Returns,” “The Shameless,” “Pandora,” “Memoir of a Murderer,” “The Odd Family: Zombie On Sale,” and “Emergency Declaration.”
