Han So Hee and Choi Min Sik are officially teaming up for the Korean remake of the Hollywood film “The Intern”!
On August 1, the Korean Film Council’s official website confirmed that both actors will star in the upcoming film, which is currently in pre-production and slated to begin filming next month.
Han So Hee’s agency 9ato Entertainment also confirmed the news, stating, “Han So Hee will star in the upcoming Korean remake of ‘The Intern.’”
Starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway, the 2015 Hollywood film follows the unlikely but heartwarming friendship that forms when a successful young CEO in her 30s hires a 70-year-old intern with an abundance of personal and professional experience.
In the Korean remake, Han So Hee will step into the role played by Anne Hathaway—a successful online fashion startup CEO who built her company in just a year and a half. Choi Min Sik will take on the role of the seasoned senior intern, originally portrayed by Robert De Niro, whose calm presence and life experience leave a lasting impact on those around him
