'My Daughter Is A Zombie' Becomes Fastest Korean Film Of 2025 To Surpass 1 Million Moviegoers

“My Daughter Is a Zombie” is off to a strong start at the Korean box office!

On August 2, the Korean Film Council announced that as of 7 a.m. KST that morning, “My Daughter is a Zombie” had reached a total of 1,146,221 moviegoers. The film was originally released on July 30, meaning that it took less than four days to surpass 1 million moviegoers.

“My Daughter Is a Zombie” is now the fastest Korean film of 2025 to hit the 1 million mark at the box office, having reached the milestone one day faster than “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” and at the same speed as “Mickey 17.”

“My Daughter Is a Zombie” also managed to match the speed of “Smugglers,” the highest-grossing film of the summer of 2023, and “Pilot,” the highest-grossing film of the summer of 2024.

Earlier this week, “My Daughter Is a Zombie” achieved the biggest Korean box office opening of 2025, the biggest opening of all time for a Korean comedy film, and the biggest opening of any non-series Korean film in five years.

In honor of the film’s latest achievement, stars Jo Jung Suk, Cho Yeo Jeong, Lee Jung Eun, Yoon Kyung Ho, and Choi Yu Ri posed for a celebratory photo together with director Pil Gam Seong.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of “My Daughter Is a Zombie”!
