'The Winning Try' Hits New Ratings High As 'Beyond The Bar' Premieres

SBS’s “The Winning Try” continues to gain steam!

On August 1, the new comedy sports drama climbed to the highest viewership ratings of its run to date. According to Nielsen Korea, “The Winning Try” was the most-watched miniseries of Saturday, scoring an average nationwide rating of 5.4 percent for its fourth episode.

MBC’s new remake of “Mary Kills People,” which airs in the same time slot, dipped to an average nationwide rating of 2.1 percent for its second episode.

JTBC’s new legal drama “Beyond the Bar” premiered to an average nationwide rating of 3.7 percent, while tvN’s “Law and The City” took first place in its time slot across all cable channels with a nationwide average of 5.5 percent. “Law and The City” was also the most-watched show in its time slot across all channels, even including public broadcast networks, among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49.

Meanwhile, Channel A’s new drama “My Lovely Journey” earned an average nationwide rating of 0.6 percent for its first episode.

Finally, KBS 2TV’s “For Eagle Brothers,” which has just one episode left in its run, remained the most-watched program of Saturday among all viewers with an average nationwide rating of 18.2 percent.
