Lee Young Ae And Kim Young Kwang Form A Partnership Out Of Rough Ground In New Drama “Walking On Thin Ice”
KBS2’s upcoming drama “Walking on Thin Ice” has unveiled new stills highlighting the chemistry between Lee Young Ae and Kim Young Kwang!
“Walking on Thin Ice” will tell the story of the dangerous partnership between Kang Eun Soo (Lee Young Ae), a mother desperate to protect her family, and Lee Kyung (Kim Young Kwang), a teacher who secretly leads a double life.
Kang Eun Soo is an ordinary housewife living a peaceful family life. Lee Kyung, on the other hand, leads a double life as Eun Soo’s daughter Soo Ah’s (Kim Si Ah) after-school art teacher and, under the name James, a drug dealer at a club. After finding a mysterious bag, the two unexpectedly form a partnership, marking a powerful turning point that changes their lives.
The newly released stills reveal the changing relationship between Eun Soo and Lee Kyung. In the first set of stills, Eun Soo, as a parent, has a serious talk with her child’s art teacher Lee Kyung in the art room. Eun Soo sits with a tense facial expression, clearly shocked by unexpected news.
Lee Kyung calmly talks about Eun Soo’s daughter Park Soo Ah. Between them, a strange tension lingers, contrasting with the warm sunlight streaming through the window.
However, another set of stills shows their relationship completely reversed. Lee Kyung, wearing a leather jacket and horn-rimmed glasses, gives off a sharp, cold aura, while Eun Soo, with a pale face, faces him in an unfamiliar space. These images capture their transformation from parent and teacher to dangerous partners.
Eun Soo offers a partnership to Lee Kyung to protect her family, but her eyes reveal fear and hesitation as she looks at the paper he gives her. Viewers are curious to find out whether their partnership will bring Eun Soo a better day and whether Lee Kyung can keep his double life hidden after a parent discovers the truth.
The production team remarked, “Lee Young Ae and Kim Young Kwang begin as characters from completely different worlds, gradually blending into each other’s lives through well-coordinated performances. It will be interesting to follow the conflicts and dilemmas Kang Eun Soo and Lee Kyung face as they work together despite their very different personalities as well as to see how their relationship clashes and eventually heals.”
“Walking on Thin Ice” will premiere on September 20 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
