Watch: Kim Go Eun And Park Ji Hyun’s Bond Strains Under Admiration And Resentment In “You And Everything Else” Teasers
Netflix’s upcoming original series “You and Everything Else” has unveiled its first posters and teaser!
“You and Everything Else” tells the story of two lifelong friends, Eun Jung (Kim Go Eun) and Sang Yeon (Park Ji Hyun), whose relationship is filled with love, admiration, jealousy, and even hatred. Their lives are deeply intertwined, marked by emotional highs and lows.
The newly released teaser poster, featuring the tagline, “Caught between admiration and resentment,” sparks curiosity about the relationship between Eun Jung and Sang Yeon, who have shared countless emotions over the years. Standing in front of a blurred photo of each other, they raise questions about what kind of friends they will remain in each other’s lives, having crossed paths repeatedly from their teens to their 40s, and what kind of story they will share to connect with viewers.
The teaser opens with Sang Yeon hurling harsh words at Eun Jung, who responds with a resentful reply. It then shows how the two, who had spent many years together since childhood, went through two falling outs and eventually drifted apart, stirring curiosity about the story of those caught between resentment and admiration.
“Being around Sang Yeon makes everything about me feel so ordinary, insignificant even,” Eun Jung says. Sang Yeon responds, “That’s when I sensed that I could never beat her.” Their story, marked by moments of admiration and inferiority toward each other, captures in detail emotions that anyone may have felt toward a friend.
“Even if it’s just once, I wish I could truly understand how Sang Yeon feels,” Eun Jung adds, underscoring how the two, once closer than anyone, still could not fully understand each other. Misunderstandings born from those hidden emotions eventually drove them apart, sparking curiosity about what ending awaits their friendship.

Director Cho Young Min said, “I felt that ‘companionship’ is the defining tone of this project. As you follow the lives of Eun Jung and Sang Yeon, you may find yourself confronting your past self, thinking of an old friend, or connecting it to your own life—or the lives of those around you. I believe you may come to understand someone, forgive someone, or even discover yourself.”
“You and Everything Else” is set to premiere on September 12.
