Ma Dong Seok Embodies Fierce Tiger Energy As Leader Of The Angels In 'Twelve'

The upcoming action drama “Twelve” has unveiled a new character poster and stills of Ma Dong Seok!

Inspired by the 12 zodiac animals of the East, “Twelve” tells the story of 12 angels living in the human world in human form to protect the Korean Peninsula from evil spirits. Long ago, the angels barely managed to seal the forces of evil in the gates of hell through their sacrifice, bringing peace. However, with the evil spirits awakening, chaos returns.

Ma Dong Seok, who plays Tae San, the leader of the 12 angels, said, “I’ve long wanted to try creating a superhero story with an Asian touch.”

An angel with the power of the tiger, Tae San lives quietly in the human world, carrying the pain of losing comrades who were like family in a long-ago battle against evil forces. Beneath his strong exterior, he harbors a deep sense of loss and responsibility. While portraying Tae San, the leader of powerful angels, Ma Dong Seok also captured his inner struggle of being caught between his deep wounds and his drive to protect the human world.

To amplify Tae San’s commanding presence and identity, Ma Dong Seok personally proposed and brought to life a range of ideas, from the character’s stride and tiger-print costumes to his weighty yet agile punches reminiscent of a tiger’s front paws.

To convey Tae San’s superhuman strength convincingly in action scenes, Ma Dong Seok focused on creating realistic, impactful movements. Flames added to his punches will deliver an even more satisfying and thrilling visual impact.

Building anticipation for the leadership and chemistry he will showcase in the drama, Ma Dong Seok said, “I focus on respecting each angel’s individuality and abilities, along with drawing out their hidden potential as we fight together.”

The newly released character poster highlights Tae San’s identity and commanding aura, showing his resolve to stand firm against a massive threat of evil.

In the poster, Ma Dong Seok adopts a battle stance in front of a tiger-printed character for tiger, creating a striking image of unmatched power.

“Twelve” will premiere on August 23.
