Cha Seung Won Is A Shoe Store Manager Who Bends Over Backwards For Sales In 'No Other Choice”

The upcoming film “No Other Choice” has released new stills featuring Cha Seung Won in character!

“No Other Choice” tells the story of Man Soo (Lee Byung Hun), an office worker who once felt completely satisfied with life before being suddenly laid off. Determined to protect his wife, two children, and the home they worked so hard to buy, he embarks on a personal battle to find a new job.

Cha Seung Won stars as Si Jo. Once a skilled technician operating machinery at a paper mill, Si Jo lost his job due to restructuring and now makes a living as a shoe store manager. Si Jo is someone who is willing to set aside his pride and go to great lengths to please customers in order to boost sales. Although he works in a completely different field now, his passion for the paper industry remains strong—making him yet another potential rival for Man Soo.

Cha Seung Won explained, “In portraying Si Jo, I divided him into three different colors—how he acts with his daughter, when meeting someone from his old industry, and when serving customers—to make the film more engaging.”

Director Park Chan Wook shared, “Cha Seung Won is tall and has a strong presence, so I thought it would be fun to see him act hunched over and deferential despite his height.”

“No Other Choice” is set to hit theaters in September.
