The upcoming film “The Ugly” has released its main trailer ahead of the much-anticipated premiere!

“The Ugly” follows the story of Im Dong Hwan (Park Jung Min), the son of Im Young Gyu (Kwon Hae Hyo)—a blind man who has become a skilled seal artisan—as he investigates the mysterious death of his mother, whose body was secretly buried for the past 40 years.

The trailer opens with scenes of Im Young Gyu and Im Dong Hwan, highlighting the father’s resilience and talent despite his blindness. However, the mood quickly shifts when Dong Hwan receives a call from a police officer, revealing that only the skeletal remains of his mother have been discovered.

As Dong Hwan learns that his mother may have been murdered, he embarks on a search for the truth. Along the way, he encounters various people connected to her past. The narration in the trailer chillingly states, “That guy still hasn’t been caught?” and “It’s definitely a sensational story,” hinting at a long-buried secret.

As the teaser intensifies, Dong Hwan becomes increasingly agitated and determined, fueling curiosity about the dark truth behind his mother’s death—and whether he will be able to uncover it all.
