'My Daughter Is A Zombie' Becomes First Korean Film Of 2025 To Surpass 4 Million Moviegoers

“My Daughter Is a Zombie” has smashed yet another box office record!

According to the Korean Film Council, as of 5:25 p.m. KST on August 15, the film has drawn a total of 4,000,464 moviegoers, cementing its status as the highest-grossing film of the year. It is the first Korean release of 2025 to cross the 4 million mark—and it reached the milestone faster than any other film this year.

The pace of its success matches that of the 2023 summer hit “Smugglers,” which hit the same mark in 17 days, and outpaces the 2024 summer blockbuster “Pilot,” which took 22 days.

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “My Daughter Is a Zombie” is a heartfelt comedy about a devoted father who goes to extreme lengths to protect his daughter, who is the last surviving zombie on Earth. The film stars Jo Jung Suk, Cho Yeo Jeong, Lee Jung Eun, Choi Yu Ri, and Yoon Kyung Ho.

Congratulations to the cast and crew on their impressive achievement!
