Gummy to Perform for Global Business Pundits in U.S.

2006, May 17

Singer Gummy will perform for global financial leaders in New York on May 24. The singer has been invited to an investment blitz organized by the Korea Exchange and sponsored by CLSA, a global investment group headquartered in Hong Kong.

Her agency YG Entertainment said Wednesday that the CLSA president, who is a big fan of Gummy, recommended her as a guest singer after listening to her recently-released unplugged album. She will perform songs from the unplugged album and reportedly said it will be an unusual experience for her, it added.

Gummy said, “I am kind of nervous because I have never performed at such an event, but I would like to impress them with my singing ability.”

YG Entertainment said that Gummy will also meet other people from the U.S. music and performance business to talk about the possibility of her working in the U.S.

After returning home from New York, Gummy will hold a concert entitled “Words I Want to Say” in Seoul on June 10 and 11 to celebrate the release of the unplugged album.
