2006, May 24

The 12-boy group Super Junior will bring in one more member to become a 13-boy group. The group’s agency SM Entertainment said Tuesday that singer Kyuhyeon will join the group to coincide with the internet release of the group’s single album “U” on Thursday.

The new member possesses not only excellent singing ability but also great potential for acting. He will make his first public appearance at the 2006 I-Concert to be held at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on Saturday.

Super Junior is a project group aimed at establishing itself as a gateway to stardom in Asia. Besides singing, each member is encouraged to act, host shows and work as a model. The group does not always perform altogether, separating into several teams depending on the type of music performed.

To the great joy of its fans, the group’s new single “U” will be available for free on its agency’s website (http://www.smtown.com). The title song “U” will be released on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. and another song, “Endless Moment,” next Monday at 5:00 p.m. The free download service will be continued until June 5.
