Kim Woo-joo Set to Captivate Japan

Singer Kim Woo-joo will hold a showcase at Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan on Aug. 30 as his first step toward working in Japan. To the great surprise of even the Japanese organizer, all 10.000 tickets for the showcase have already been sold out.

Kim is determined to use the showcase as a way to gain recognition in the island country before releasing a feature album there in November and holding concerts in five major Japanese cities.

The Korean singer first attracted attention from leading Japanese entertainment companies when he captivated Japanese fans at the 2nd overseas Korean music showcase in Japan in November last year. He has been preparing to work in Japan since earlier this year.

His agency said that it recently launched Kim’s official Japanese website, which has been receiving a barrage of questions from Japanese fans. The agency is trying its best to satisfy all the curiosity of those fans, it added.

Kim will leave for Japan on Aug. 28, and after the showcase will work on his first album in both Korea and Japan.
