V.O.S. to Debut Overseas

Oct 18, 2006

The male band V.O.S. is set to debut overseas, with its first overseas performance to take place in Vietnam at the "New Pop" festival on October 21.

The band will hold a news conference October 20 in Vietnam, and the next day will sing its hit song "Look Into My Eyes" at the festival.

A person at V.O.S.’s agency said the band will play an important role in preserving the popularity of Korean pop culture in Vietnam and that the agency is already in talks with Vietnamese firms with regard to the export of the band’s second album. The agency hopes that the band’s participation in the festival will produce positive results.

V.O.S. member Kim Kyung-rok said the group has been working hard to select songs that the Vietnamese audience will like, and that the group will sing old-pop songs of the 1970s and 80s to heat up the atmosphere of the festival.

On October 18, V.O.S. will present its Vietnamese repertoire to Daejeon audiences at a concert that is being organized by the music channel Mnet. The band will take into account the reaction of Daejeon residents to come up with better ideas for its performance in Vietnam.
