No. 1 song: Ivy is No. 1 for the 5th week in a row with "유혹의 소나타" (Sonata of Temptation). This week she holds off another challenger in Tei's "같은 베개" (Same Pillow). Ivy is still promoting this song. If she stays at No. 1 again next week, it will become only the 2nd song to record 6 consecutive weeks at No. 1. Last year, Sung Shi Kyung's "거리에서" (On the Street) was the first song to achieve this feat.

Biggest Mover of the week: Last week's hot shot debut Chae Yeon's "My Love" is our biggest mover this week, up 17 spots to No. 12. Chae Yeon has become one of the most famous sexy icons in Korea. Looks like she will be in the top 10 next week.

Hot shot debut: SG Wannabe return for their 4th album. The title song "아리랑" (Arirang) is our highest debut at No. 24 this week. Many think this should should even be ranked higher, but SG's album has only been released 2 weeks, and album sales figures have not been counted yet. So it is no small accomplishment to have this song already debuted this week. For this song, SG Wannabe again teamed up with Cho Young Soo and Ahn Young Min. It's an R&B song with traditional instruments arrangement. The melody reminds us of "Partner For Life" from their last album.

New songs: We have 6 new songs this week.

Songs to watch out:

6. Lyn – 이별살이 (Separate Life) – After it unexpectedly fell 2 spots last week, this song rebounded to move up 4 spots this week to No. 6. It already surpassed the popularity of any songs from Lyn's 3rd album or remake album. With the songs from No. 3 to No. 6 about the same, this song should have a chance to move into the top 5 next week.

33. Lisa (feat. Lee Seung Chul) – 시작보다 끝이 아름다운 사랑 (Love With a Sweet Ending) – Underrated female vocalist Lisa recently released a duet single with Lee Seung Chul. This song is a re-arrangement of an old song sung by Lee Seung-chul and Park Mi-kyung. It is quite popular on internet charts.

35. Kara – Break It – Kara is a new 4-member female group launched by DSP entertainment, the same company who launched FINKL. That is why Kara is sometimes being referred to as the new FINKL. Kara's image is also similar to the early days of FINKL. Kara has been performing quite often on gayo shows. Let's see if it can be as successful.

36. M – So Sick – Probably the first all-English song on this Korean chart. It comes from M (Min Woo)'s live album "Live Works 2006-2007". It's a mid-tempo R&B song, a genre that we don't see M perform too often.

37. Tim – 이별앓이 (Painful Separation) – We've been waiting for Tim to release his 34th album for a long time. Instead, he comes back with this digital single. He shows us once again why he's being labeled as "the new prince of ballad" with this mellow ballad. This song is probably a preview of his new album.

The piece wonderfully harmonizes a strong beat, melody and classical strings, reminding listeners of a musical. Ivy's unique and charming voice mixes well with Whee Sung's powerful rapping.

She combines conventional soul with mainstream R&B. With her trademark mid-to-deep, husky voice, she sings about painful love memories that anyone can relate to.
