Weekly Music Chart 2007 - July week 1

No. 1 song: Yangpa again held off See Ya for another week. Her song "사랑…그게 뭔데" (Love…What Is That?) has been No. 1 for the past 4 weeks. See Ya's "사랑의인사" (Love Greeting) closed the scoring gap to a tiny 5 points. But Yangpa's song is still going strong on all charts last week. Let see if there will be changes next week.

Biggest Mover of the week: Daylight's digital single "머리를 자르고" (After Hair Cut) moves up 11 spots to No. 19. This is a very nice ballad. Daylight, who was featured in ERU's "Black Glasses" last year, is looking for a hit song of her own. She has completely changed her music style now from rock to ballad.

Hot shot debut: Legendary Brown Eyes is back for an encore one more time. Their song "이 노래" (This Song) from their recently released top selling best hit album debuted at No. 23 this week. Even though Brown Eyes did not exist for many years, their influence on today's Korean R&B music is very deep. Members Yoon Gun and Naul are both very successful solo artists now.

New songs: We have 4 new songs and 2 re-entries this week.

Songs to watch out:

24. V.O.S. + Hyun Joon of Monday Kiz – 나 이젠 (I Now) – This song narrowly missed the biggest mover, up 10 spots to No. 24 this week. The song features members from two up and coming male R&B groups. We haven't seen them coming out to perform yet. If they do, this song will definitely moves up even higher.

29. JED (feat. Lim Chang Jung) – 사랑의 숲에서 길을 잃다 (Lost in love forest) – Veteran Lim Chang Jung who has retired from singing a few years ago to concentrate on an acting career is back as a featured vocalist on new rapper JED's debut single. Lim Chang Jung again displays his strong vocal on this hip-hop ballad. If you like SUHO's "Spring Summer Fall Winter" last year, you should like this song too.

30. The One – 사랑아 (Love) – Featured on SBS hit drama "That Man's Woman" which just finished broadcasting with a high rating, enabling this song to re-enter the chart at a higher position. The soundtrack is also doing quite well among OST sales.

46. Son Dam Bi – Cry Eye – A new female artist who gets quite a lot of attention of being "the female Bi". This song is a mid-tempo dance track in which the artist showcases her dance moves. She is starting to promote on gayo shows and it should help this song to gain popularity.
