No. 1 song: Wonder Girls’ "Tell Me" remains at No. 1 this week, holding off Big Bang’s 7-week No. 1 song "거짓말" (Lie) which tried to bounce back to the top for the 8th week. Wonder Girls are up to the challenge as "Tell Me" won the Inky Gayo Mutizen award last week and was also No. 1 on most internet rankings.

Biggest Mover of the week: J-Walk’s "여우비" (Light Rain) is our biggest mover, up 22 spots to No. 20 this week. The duo recently released a single album featuring this song. J-Walk have not been active in the k-pop scene for the last few years. "Light Rain" is an R&B ballad which has a more mature style than their previous pop hits. To this date, J-Walk’s biggest hit is still their debut song "Suddenly". Let’s see if this song can do better.

Hot shot debut: One of the most consistent hit makers in k-pop is back! Koyote’s "사랑공식" (Love Formula) is our highest debut at No. 12 this week. This song comes from their 9.5 album, featuring a collection of their past dance hits and a few new songs. So the album is titled "Dance Best and 9.5". Even though Koyote’s album sales have not been as strong as a few years ago, their hit songs are still ranked very high on the chart. Like the title of this song "Love Formula", Koyote really have a formula to succeed.

New songs: We have 6 new songs and 2 re-entries this week.

Songs to watch out:

3. Big Mama – 배반 (Betray) – Moving up 4 more spots among a strong field to the top 3. Looks like it will certainly be their biggest hit so far and will contest for No. 1 next week. Perhaps this song has a more pop-oriented melody than their previous R&B songs, so it gains more acceptance among pop fans.

7. Lim Jeong Hee – 사랑에미치면 (When you’re crazy in love) – Lim Jeong Hee is looking for a big hit to boost her debut in the US. Her biggest hit so far was the title song from her last album "사랑아가지마" (Love, Don’t Leave) which went to No. 5. This song has a very good chance to surpass No. 5 as it’s already No. 7 in its 2nd week on the chart.

10. Maybee – 못난이 (Fool) – The lyricist turned singer has her 2nd top 10 hit. This equals her debut song "다소" (Sad Smile) which also went to No. 10. Maybee is just starting to promote this song and it is very likely to move up higher next week.

13. Lee Seung Ki – 왜가니 (Why are you leaving?) – As soon as "착한거짓말" (White Lie) is off the chart, this new song comes in. This ballad is again written by top songwriter Cho Young Soo. Lee Seung Ki was named the top male artiste in our 2006 Soompi Gayo Award, and he is looking to repeat the feat this year. He needs this song to do well to get the nomination.

17. Na Yoon Kwon – 뒷모습 (Back View) – After a few weeks surfacing below the top 20, Na Yoon Kwon finally made a big move this week, up 14 spots to No. 17. Na Yoon Kwon is a very underrated R&B singer who should get more attention. This song is written by highly regarded singer-songwriter Yoon Jong Shin, who also wrote Na Yoon Kwon’s good friend Sung Shi Kyung’s big hit "거리에서" (On the Street) last year.

25. Kang Kyun Sung – 널볼때마다 (Every Time I See You) – Former Noel member Kang Kyun Sung has this week’s 2nd biggest mover. JYP wrote this R&B ballad for Kang Kyun Sung. Let’s see if he will get into the top 20 next week.

Arirang TV: This is the representative song for the Wonder Girls’ 1st album, "The Wonder Years," which is also the first album released with new member Yoo-bin, who replaced Hyun-a. The track revives a lively pop dance rhythm popular in the 80s. The fun music video shows So-hee transforming from an ordinary student into Wonder Woman whenever her friends face danger.
