BIOGRAPHY:

Our featured artiste this week is Cho Shin Sung, a new 6-member boy band from MNet Media. The same company launched F.T Island earlier this year. While F.T Island’s music is more rock-oriented, Cho Shin Sung is a pop dance group who also ventured into R&B recently.

Korea’s top songwriter and producer Cho Young Soo is in charge of this group. Their debut song was a single "Hit" in September 2007. The powerful dance track is at once moving and intense with powerful vocal performances and rapping by the members. The music video stars the guys of Cho Shin Sung and Eugene and shows off the artistes’ various talents.

In October 2007, Cho Shin Sung released their first full album "The Beautiful Stardust". The album reached top 10 in the sales chart. Besides "Hit", songs of different variety is recorded in this album. To show that they are a mutli-talented group, Cho Shin Sung chose "Goodbye" as their title song. This song is completely different from "Hit". "Goodbye" is an SG Wannabe type of R&B acoustic feel mid-tempo ballad that requires more vocal skills. The members pull it off nicely. This song also becomes the group’s first ever top-20 hit and is still rising on the chart.
