2009 Half Year Top 10 K-Pop Songs

The first half of 2009 has passed.  Based on our weekly music chart scores we have made a summary to see which 10 songs have accumulated the most chart scores to become the half year top 10 k-pop songs.  Just like our year end DaeSang, the raw scores on each song is adjusted by its chart positions, competitions, and seasonal factors.  Congratulations to these 10 outstanding songs and thanks to S Radio Club who kindly ran a countdown of these 10 songs for us.

Comment: Winning by a wide margin to capture the top prize as the most popular k-pop songs in the first half of 2009 is the title track of Girls’ Generation’s first mini-album, "Gee". A lively dance track that showcases the fresh charms of all nine members, the song was written by E-Tribe, the new generation songwriter behind Lee Hyo-ri’s "U-Go-Girl".
