Whether in H.O.T, JTL, or going solo, Tony An has found success. This year, Tony has released another mini-album "Look Blank". This mini-album is more ballad-oriented as compared to his previous mini-album last year that generated the hit song "Melody". Looks like mini-albums are going to be the trend in Korea. While a lot of singers have switched to digital singles, a mini-album offers fans something they can physically own, at a lower price. It also lets us album reviewers produce faster output as we have to listen to fewer songs. laugh.gif

We don’t hear Tony singing ballads too often, but this time he has pulled it off nicely. The title song "Wallet" is a listener-friendly sad ballad with a nice piano arrangement. We can hear Tony’s sad and emotional vocal expressing well the lyrics of this song. Track 4 is the same song with a saxophone arrangement, adding a jazz feel, while track 5 is the instrumental of the title song. Track 2 "Absentmindedly" is another good ballad in which Tony wrote the lyrics himself. Track 3 "I Thank Even Loneliness" is the most "up-tempo" song of the mini-album, but it is still considered a ballad. It is written by a foreign songwriter.

Despite Tony’s popularity, this mini-album went by mostly unnoticed. Maybe it is due to Tony not coming out to perform, thus affecting the popularity. Still, for fans of Tony, this album is a must-own. For fans who like ballads, you may consider adding this to your CD collection too.
