Comment: A big surprise this week at the top as Uhm Jung Hwa’s "D.I.S.C.O" jumped all the way from No. 12 to No. 1, overtaking Brown Eyes’ "Don’t Leave, Don’t Leave", becoming the 2nd consecutive song to jump to No. 1 from outside of top 10. Perhaps it shouldn’t be that surprising as this song is ranked among the top 5 in almost every chart in Korea. As a result of this consistency, it is awarded the top song in our chart this week. Uhm Jung Hwa hasn’t had a No. 1 song for ages, and this must be sweet for her. This song is written and produced by 1TYM’s Teddy and Stony Skunk’s Kush, who are also responsible for Tae Yang’s "Watching Only You". So this combo has two of the last three No. 1 songs.

Both Yoon Gun and Naul have had success solo or, in the case of Naul, with Brown Eyed Soul. But still nothing compares to them together as a group. Depsite falling to No. 2, this song may move back up to the top again next week.

Score: 248
Genre: Pop Ballad
Album: Lee Ki Chan Vol. 10 Track 2 Purchase this album
Watch: MV Live Performance
Comment: Very few singers in today’s k-pop can say they have released 10 or more studio albums, maybe we can even count them using only one hand. Lee Ki Chan is one of the rare few who have done so. It proves that both he and his music have stood the test of time. Perhaps even more amazing is that Lee Ki Chan is only 29! Last year, he had one of the most popular ballads, "A Beauty". Now the title track of this new album, "You Have To Be Happy", is again a very good ballad. It only took 2 weeks to reach the top 20, and it should be in the top 10 very soon.
