Comment: Elly is finally No. 1!  After spending 2 weeks at No. 3, Seo In Young’s "Cinderella" has finally displaced the previous top two songs and become our new No. 1 song this week.  It marks her first solo No. 1 song.  Seo In Young also hit No. 1 earlier this year with Jewelry’s "One More Time".  "Cinderella" is written by Psy, who in the past has written many hit songs for different singers.

Comment: Big Bang, who rose to super stardom last year with hits like "Lie", "Last Greeting", "Dirty Cash", etc., are finally coming back in 2008 with their 3rd mini-album "Stand Up". Showing a more mature side of the group, the title song "Day By Day" is a mid-tempo R&B dance song with a nice piano arrangement throughout the song. 1TYM’s Teddy and Stony Skunk’s Kush, one of the hottest producing combo in the last few months, are again the masterminds behind this song and this mini-album. Comment: When we talk about legends of Korean music, Seo Tai Ji is second to none. It’s been 4 years since he last released a new album, it is all worth waiting for even though this mini-album only has 4 songs. The title track MOAI means the gigantic statues seen on Easter Island. As a youth, Seo was fascinated by the mysterious Easter Island, and thus this song came into existence.

Comment: 2AM are a prized new group by JYP entertainment this year. Technically, they are a sub-group together with another sub-group 2PM who will debut next week and the whole group’s name is 2 O’Clock. This is the first time in k-pop that a sub-group has debuted prior to the main group. The name 2AM was given by JYP. 2AM is the time when one usually looks back on what they did that day and therefore the members are to do likewise with their music. This song is an R&B ballad, kind of reminds us of the early days of another JYP group, Noel.

"If You Actually Know" is about a woman who dearly misses her ex-boyfriend that she had to break up with.  Da Hye did a fantastic job of putting emotion into her singing with her gentle voice.
