Not having heard Son Ho Young’s first album, and being familiar with only one album of G.O.D. I was not sure what to expect from this second solo outing. I found that Son Ho Young has a really good voice, very easy on the ears and the album is very pleasant to listen to. However, it is not really challenging in any way – the songs are good and enjoyable, but don’t evoke any particularly strong emotions. Not for me anyway.

‘More and More’ was a lively upbeat song with a cheerful feel to it, and one that suited the electronic beat it was given. 눈코입 (feat. Ok Ju Hyeon) was the song I liked the most. It’s a more traditional kpop ballad that was arranged well, with Ok Ju Hyeon’s vocals really adding some depth to the song. The two duets with Tim were also especially pleasant as their voices went well together, and the songs themselves were well chosen for the two men’s abilities and range.

I’m sure it’s an album fans will enjoy very much, but it’s not that outstanding. It’s an album that is, for me, good to play in the background when you are busy with other things and don’t want too much distraction.
