Comment: SNSD’s "Gee" remains No. 1 for the second week in a row.  The song has a slight drop in score but it is still way ahead of the competition.  It is still No. 1 on most major charts in Korea.  Even though it will be "retired" from Inky Gayo after 3 straight wins on Mutizen award, expect this song to still enjoy good scores next week to maintain its No. 1 position.

Comment: Our highest debut this week is SS501’s "Because My Head Is Bad", from the OST of the highly popular KBS Drama "Boys Over Flowers".  We haven’t seen a drama OST song ranked this high since Park Hyo Shin’s "Snow Flakes" a few years ago.  Originally the theme song for Yoon Ji Hoo (SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong), this song quickly became popular as the ending song for the drama. Comment: The 1st rookie group in 2009 to hit the top 20, After School is a promising new girl group with members Park Ga Hee, Yoo So Young, Lee Joo Yeon, Kim Jung Ah and Pekha. Not to be confused with school girls despite their name, After School has a mature and sexy image and all but one members are in their 20s.  The five girls list the Pussycat Dolls as their role models, and specialize in melodious hip hop and electronic cuts complemented with dance performances. After an intensive preparation period of over two years, the gorgeous girl group steps on the K-pop scene with a mini-album "New School Girl".  The title track "Ah" is written by fast-rising Brave Brothers, who has written many hit songs in the past few months.

Comment: Second song from the OST of the highly popular KBS drama "Boys Over Flowers".  While SS501’s "Because My Head Is Bad" is the hot-shot debut, this song is the biggest mover on our chart this week.  "Paradise" is actually the title song of "Boys Over Flowers".  Kim Joon, a member of F4 in the drama, is also a member of T-Max, which helps to bring more attention to this underrated band. Comment: After giving birth to her baby with Drunken Tiger, T (Tasha) is coming back with an R&B ballad "Don’t Leave" which should attract mainstream listeners. Yoon Myung Sun, who is known for composing Eru’s Black Glasses, composed this song and Bang Shi Hyuk, who has composed Baek Ji Young’s "Like Being Hit By a Bullet", took charge in arranging it. Comment: Already enjoying fame even before she officially debuted, 17 year-old May Doni made her first appearance last year when she was featured on PDIS’ project album.  Her strong vocal made a quick impression on fans.  Now she is finally debuting as a solo singer.  Yoon Il Sang (IS of PDIS) is in charge of her single album.  The title song "Mola ing" is at No. 16 this week.  This mid-tempo R&B tune can go either way – faster to become a dance track (the IS mixed version on the album) or slower to become a ballad track, which is the version on our chart.

The hip-hop song, which was produced by Rhymer himself and Mr. Big, is about what one man wants to say to his ex-girlfriend after a hurtful breakup, wishing her happiness. One can hear beautiful string and piano instruments. Also featured in the song is Lee Jin Sung of Monday Kiz; Rhymer had featured in Monday Kiz last album and Jin Sung wanted to return the favor.  The music video shows Rhymer acting out as a guy who tries to forget the pain of a breakup by exercising.
