Ji Sung, Sung Yoo Ri, Lee Wan, and Yoo Oh Sung lead the SBS drama "Swallow the Sun (태양을 삼켜라)"

6/27/09 — Ji Sung, Sung Yoo Ri, Lee Wan, and Yoo Oh Sung (지성, 성유리, 이완, 유오성) will lead the 24-episode Wednesday-Thursday drama “Swallow the Sun (태양을 삼켜라)” scheduled to be aired by SBS on 7/8, following the final episode “The City Hall”.

This drama’s background setting is at Seogwipo City (서귀포시) of Cheju Island. It portrays 4 young people’s challenging and ambitious projects to develop the city into a world-class city. The nicknames of these 4 young people are “Combative-spirit Man (싸움꾼)”, “The Dealer (장사꾼)”, “The Gambler (노름꾼)”, and “The Pickpocket (소매치기꾼)”.

The PD Yoo Chul Yong (유철용) and the script writer Choi Wan Kyoo (최완규) collaborated in the 2003 popular drama “All In”.

Ji Sung plays the role Kim Jung Woo (김정우) who was born as an illegitimate child, grew up like weed at the orphanage and then becomes a tough man. Sometimes Jung Woo is foolish to be used by powerful people although he is an honest and loving man. To play his role well, Ji Sung has learned scuba diving, boxing, and taekwondo. Sung Yoo Ri plays the role Soo Hyun (수현) who knew Jung Woo since the childhood. They have been filming the action scenes for this drama in locations such as South Africa and Las Vegas, USA.

Lee Wan plays the role Tae Hyuk (태혁) who grew up without knowing his father. One day, his father CEO Jang Min Ho (장민호) appears in front of him and then Tae Hyuk’s life has a 180-degree turn and becomes a genius of management.

Model Kim Sae Rom (김새롬) plays Soo Hyun’s good friend Sang Mi (상미) who is a lovely and sexy woman. Supporting cast includes Jun Kwang Ryul, Kim Jung Tae, Jo Sang Goo, Ma Dong Suk, and Han Ji Yun (전광렬, 김정태, 조상구, 마동석, 한지연).
