Comment: Davichi score the second No. 1 song of their young career with "8282".  This song was already No. 1 on most music charts in Korea so it is no surprise to see it rising to the top this week and winning by a big margin. "8282" was composed by Korea’s top lyricist and composer, Kang Eun Kyung and Kim Do Hoon. The song is about the anxiety one gets while waiting for the call of a loved one. The melody starts out like a ballad but turns into an up-tempo song in the chorus part.  It has trendy trance rhythms with powerful vocals from the girls.

Comment: Making their long-awaited comeback, Super Junior stormed into the top 5 in just 2 weeks with the title song "Sorry Sorry" coming from their 3rd album.  The group has not been performing together for a while since they were busy having sub-group activities like Super Junior Happy, Super Junior T, Super Junior M and Super Junior KRY.  Now all 13 members are finally re-united on stage.  Sorry Sorry is a catchy urban house dance number and the group especially worked with renowned choreographer Nick Bass, who has collaborated with Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Christina Aguilera.

Comment: 8Eight debuted 2 years ago with lots of fanfare.  However, the group unexpectedly flopped with their 2nd album last year.  Despite that, members Joo Hee and Baek Chan had successful stints outside of the group, with Joo Hee being featured in songs from other artistes and Baek Chan releasing a highly-acclaimed mini-album.  Now the group is back together with their 3rd album and the title song "Don’t Have A Heart" is an excellent R&B ballad, produced once again by Hitmen Bang Shi Hyuk.  It only took them 2 weeks to get to the top 10, wiping out the disappointment of their last album in a heartbeat.  The music video features the Wonder Girls’ So Hee, who transforms into a vampire.

Comment: In 2003, at the height of his career, Lim Chang Jung abruptly announced his retirement from the music scene so that he can concentrate on his acting.  Now six years later, to the delight of many fans, Lim finally comes back with his 11th album, appropriately titled "Return To My World".  The title song, also appropriately named "It’s Been A Long Time", is our highest debut this week at No. 12.  This well-made ballad number is about a man who has reunited with his lover, but sadly has trouble approaching her.  Fans once again hear Lim Chang Jung’s trademark emotional vocal.  Most of Lim’s title songs from past albums had reached No. 1 on the music chart.  Let’s see if he can continue this trend after his long hiatus.

Comment: Last year, Rumble Fish garnered much love with their remake album Memory For You, with their title track “You and The Rain”. Unfortunately, the band was unable to perform their follow-up track, Heart For One Person” and so they have re-released a March version of this song as a digital single. Originally sung by Lee Seung Hwan, this version showcases female vocals by vocalist Choi Jini, bringing a new flavor to the song. Her husky yet beautiful voice complements the song well.
