Hyun Bin and Kim Min Joon lead the MBC drama "Friends, Our Legend (친구, 우리들의 전설)"

6/5/09 — Hyun Bin and Kim Min Joon will lead the 20-episode weekend drama “Friends, Our Legend (친구, 우리들의 전설)” scheduled to be aired by MBC on 6/27, following the final episode of “2009 Foreigners Ball Team (2009 외인구단)”.

This drama is the remake of the blockbuster movie “Friends (친구)” starring Jang Dong Gun and Yoo Oh Sung (장동건, 유오성) debuted in 2001.  The director Kwak Kyung Taek (곽경택) of the movie is the PD of this drama.  The filming has already been underway since 1/28 at Pusan where the 4 close friends in this drama spent their teenage years.

This drama portrays the story of 4 friends living through the tumultuous years between 1980 and 1990.  Hyun Bin plays the role Dong Soo (동수) and Kim Min Joon plays the role Joon Suk (준석), which were played by JDG and YOS respectively in the original movie.

Actor Suh Do Young (서도영) plays the role Sang Taek (상택),  actress Wang Ji Hye (왕지혜) plays the role Jin Sook (진숙) and new actor Lee Si Un  (이시언) plays the role Joong Ho (중호).
