Comment: Super Junior remain No. 1 with their new song "It’s You".  They are the first artistes in 2009 to have two No. 1 songs.  "It’s You" is coming from the newly released C version of their 3rd album, which has 4 new songs, including this title track.  It’s written by E-Tribe, who also wrote SNSD’s "Gee" earlier this year.  Unlike "Sorry Sorry", "It’s You" is mellow and more pop-oriented.

Score: 711
Genre: Hip-hop / R&B / Dance

FireMusic + Lyrics: Teddy
Album: 2NE1 digital single "Fire" Track 1
Watch: MV (Space Version) MV (Street Version) Live Performance
Comment: Taking K-pop by storm is 2NE1 (To Anyone), the first girl group from YG Entertainment.  Despite limited TV exposure, their debut single "Fire" remains strong in the top 5.  2NE1 are known as the female version of Big Bang.  Last month, they had a collaboration with Big Bang "Lollipop" and used the song to introduce the new group.  Many girl groups are work-in-progress when they debut, but this group is definitely a finished product.  Thanks to their prolonged training, they are already performing like veterans. 2NE1 will definitely make a major impact on k-pop for years to come.

The song samples from Corbin Bleu’s Deal With It, and its romantic lyrics are written by member Jong Hyun, who is making his songwriting debut. (credits to ~S2~)

YESTERDAY ONCE MORE:
Koyote – Passion
Genre: Pop / Dance

Album: Koyote Vol. 3 (2000) Track 3
Watch: MV Live Performance
Comment: Koyote were originally a three-member group with female singer Shin Ji, and male singer Cha Seung Min, and rapper Kim Goo. They debuted in 1999 in an era where k-pop was dominated by dance music.  Koyote’s songs are unique in that they are really tailor-made for club dance. Cha later left for further studies and was replaced by Kim Jong Min starting from the third album in 2000. Kim Goo was replaced by Kim Young Wan, who was replaced by Jung Myoung Hoon, who then made way for Bbaek Ga in 2004. Bbaek Ga has stayed with the group ever since.  "Passion" is a techno dance song from Koyote’s 3rd album released in 2000 and marked their first big hit.  They followed that up with many big hits since then and every title song from their albums has reached the top 5 in the charts. Koyote have withstood the test of time and are still going strong now, and they have just released their 10th album. (credits to ~S2~)
