Comment: Super Junior remain No. 1 for the 3rd consecutive week with "It’s You".  They are the first artistes in 2009 to have two No. 1 songs.  "It’s You" is coming from the newly released C version of their 3rd album, which has 4 new songs, including this title track.  It’s written by E-Tribe, who also wrote SNSD’s "Gee" earlier this year.  Unlike "Sorry Sorry", "It’s You" is mellow and more pop-oriented.

Score: 881
Genre: R&B Ballad

Comment: Moving up 9 spots to No. 2 this week is R&B trio V.O.S.  Last year, all three members enjoyed solo successes: Park Ji Hun and Kim Kyung Rok released their solo albums and Choi Hyun Joon collaborated with various artistes in their songs.  The trio finally comes back with its 3.5 album, Routine Free. The title track "Big Trouble" is looking to become V.O.S’ first No. 1 song on this chart.  It is already No. 1 on M!Countdown this week.  This song was composed by Korea’s best hit-maker, Cho Young Soo, and penned by Kang Eun Kyung. The lyrics are to bring tears to listeners’ eyes. The song is about a one-sided love and the distress and uneasiness one feels when not being able to confess one’s feelings.

Comment: SHINee, last year’s top new boyband, are back with their 2nd mini-album.  Their latest single "Juliette" only needed 3 weeks to get into the top 3, and will be a serious contender for the top spot next week.  "Juliette" is an urban dance number from the creators of BoA’s Eat You Up, Dong Bang Shin Ki’s Mirotic, and SHINee’s own Love Like Oxygen. The song samples from Corbin Bleu’s Deal With It, and its romantic lyrics are written by member Jong Hyun, who is making his songwriting debut. (credits to ~S2~)

YESTERDAY ONCE MORE:
Jo Sung Mo – To Heaven
Genre: Pop Ballad

Album: Jo Sung Mo Vol. 1 (1998) Track 1
Watch: MV Live Performance
Comment: Jo Sung Mo is a Korean singer who mainly focuses on ballads. He debuted in 1998 with "To Heaven", and won the Newcomer award for the song. Perhaps Jo Sung Mo is the singer who revolutionized the the mega production MV movie-like MV concept, which is still a big part of k-pop today.  This song’s MV starred actress Kim Haneul, who has also gone on to become a very successful actress. "To Heaven" is a sad but romantic ballad. Jo Sung Mo is notable for his "million sellers", as his first few albums were widely popular and sold a million copies each and his songs still achieve much success today.
