I have always been familiar with the name of K.Will, but never took much notice in this artist until now. After doing a little bit of research, I found out that he debuted in 2007, which is fairly recent, but has already gained popularity with hits such as "Left Heart" and "Love 119." This year, the singer has returned with a new mini album, titled "Dropping the Tears," which has songs composed by some of Korea’s top composers such as Kim Do Hoon , Park Chang Hyun, and Jo Young Soo.

The title track is "Dropping the Tears," an emotional ballad which I happened to come across by chance on television. The song starts off a bit slowly and on the softer side. However, as it reaches the chorus, K.Will shows off his vocals, hitting high notes successfully with great feeling. This part of the song is probably what won me over, and got me wanting to hear more of him.

The follow up single is "One Tear Drop Per Second" which has more of an R&B feel than the former track. It is very relaxing and K.Will’s voice is very soft and candy to the ears. Dynamic Duo is also featured in this track and their strong rap makes a positive contrast with K Will’s vocals. This song is also strongly recommended. The third single is a pop ballad number, "Girl Meets Love," which is a duet with Tiffany of popular girl group, SNSD. It is a simple duet with dramatic string arrangements. Personally, I did not find much in this song but mainstream listeners may get a kick out of this.

The last song I wanted to mention is "Love 119" which previously was a single before it got included in this album. It’s a light-hearted hip-hop number which features MC Mong’s fun rap making along with K.Will’s moving singing. It seems like a typical MC Mong track and is very reminiscent of past singles such as "A Letter Written to You" (feat. Lyn) and "I Love You Oh Thank You" (feat. Tae Woo). Despite its similarities, this song is still very enjoyable and recommended.

After listening to this album, I got a pretty good impression of K.Will. This singer definitely knows how to sing with emotion. I like his strong, yet very smooth voice. Fans and listeners new to K.Will should all try out this album.
