SHINee Member Contract's H1N1

SM Entertainment reported that Jong-hyun was diagnosed positive for the H1N1 virus Tuesday morning after he had received a pre-cautionary Tamiflu shot on Monday.  Because of this Jong-hyun will temporarily stop all activities with SHINee.  Jong-hyun is now another K-pop singer in a growing list of celebrities to have contracted the virus this year, with many more expected to be infected. 

SM Entertainment did say that his absence will not affect the current promotional activities for their latest single, “Ring Ding Dong” and will continue with the four members – Min-ho, Tae-min, O-new, and Key.  The group recently released a mini-album “2009 Year of Us.” and “Ring Ding Dong” which topped the KBS Music Bank and SBS Inkigayo charts last weekend.
