(x) debuted just recently with their title song “La Cha Ta” and CF song “Chocolate Love.” This
time around they happily released to their fans a new awaiting song, Chu. Along with La Cha Ta, I
found the song to be boring and bland. There weren’t any parts that I felt
were as catching as I would have expected. The song just didn’t stick, even when I tried listening to it a few times.
However, the second track “Step By Me” had a slightly better tune
with a cutesy feel to it. It’s easier to remember, thus making it a catchier
song. The final track of the single showcased the two members, Luna and
Krystal’s vocals well but I felt that it wasn’t superb nor was it a downer.
Overall, I feel uncertain about the single as a whole but since they are a rookie
group with great potential, I see room for more improvement.
