PURCHASE THIS ALBUM

  Shinee
has released some quite catchy songs since their debut. However, their title
song for this mini album “Ring Ding Dong” led me to confusion. The
song sadly sounded annoying and though it might be catchy somewhat the loud
banging beats in the background became tiring after a while.
  The mini album
introduces somewhat of an intro titled “Y.O.U (Year of Us)” that I
found to be a simple delight. Along with that, the third track “Jo
Jo” was fantastic. “Jo Jo” is those types of songs that I kind
of hoped they would lean towards more or songs that I feel match them a bit
better compared to “Ring Ding Dong.” “Jo Jo” feels cool, with
a bit of a dramatic feeling along with something that makes your heart flutter
a little bit. “Get Me Down” turned me off. The song was just a bit
too much and along with “Shinee Girl” I felt that it didn’t sound any
better.
  To end the somewhat satisfying, somewhat disappointing album, the group
sang a beautiful ballad that showcased their wonderful vocals. The song started
out slow then when the chorus came it picked up its beat. Since I am a sucker
for ballads and ballad types of songs, it quickly became my favorite song out
of the album.
