Epik High Gets On Top Of iTunes US Hip-Hop Album Chart

Epik High has become the first South Korean Artist to get on top of Apple’s iTunes music charts in the U.S. and also in several other countries.

Their latest album “Epilogue” is currently the top hip-hop album in the US, being the first South Korean artists to do so. After its release on Tuesday, it debuted at #20 before getting to the top spot the next day, beating out popular performers such as  Ludacris, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Beastie Boys and Black Eyed Peas.  

At the time of posting this article, they are still currently the top hip-hop album in the US. It has also made the top 10 hip-hop album charts in other countries such as New Zealand, Japan, Australia and Canada.

Their previous album “[e]” was released in September 2009 and had only entered the top 100 hip-hop album chart in iTunes.

With the release of “Epilogue” two days ago, they are only just beginning to promote the song “Run”. On March 20, they will join other artists such as  2AM, Clazziquai Project, and Leessang for a concert on youtube.

According to a recent interview, they named this album “Epilogue” because it is a wrap up of their music last year. Through the music in this album, they wanted to give listeners hope.
